Applying faith to the complexities of adult life is challenging to everyone. The Jesus Is Lord program is a time-proven, popular program aimed at helping parishioners develop and grow in their faith as adults. No matter where the person is in his/her walk with the Lord, this annual Winter program is a powerful way to advance.
Listed below is the content for each section of the Jesus is Lord course. If you have started the course and have missed a class, please watch the video and complete the homework for the sections that you have missed.
This renewal weekend is for those seeking spiritual renewal with an opportunity to deepen their faith within their parish community. Consisting of two days of prayer, scripture, fellowship and the sacraments, WELCOME has helped hundreds of women in the parish to see Christ in everyday life. There is no cost to attend, but space is limited. The renewal weekend runs every August.
To attend, one must be a practicing Catholic (age 21+), who is a parishioner of Saint William and who has never attended a CRHP weekend before. To register, email Rita Gonzalez at rdgonzalez131@gmail.com
Within the Catholic tradition, spiritual direction has an honored place as a means to grow in our union with God.
Spiritual direction is an ongoing relationship between someone desiring to grow closer to their Lord and a person trained as a spiritual director. Through regular meetings, the director helps the directee recognize and listen to the movements of the Spirit in his or her life.
The ultimate Spiritual Director is always the Holy Spirit. The human director's role is to assist with spiritual discernment in a prayerful, supportive way. The directee commits to a personal prayer life and to following Christ more completely each day.
The Diocese of Austin maintains a list of qualified spiritual directors. To obtain this list, contact Cedarbrake Catholic Retreat Center at 254-780-2436.

A particular study lasts from 6-12 weeks. Sessions are held in the spring, summer and fall. Cost for books and materials is $15.
