During the past week, we have had some time to reflect on what it means to be a parishioner of Saint William, what drew us to Saint William for the first time and moments we have experienced since then that have brought us to call this parish, our parish, our home.
As one family, we must work together for God’s glory and the success of our parish, and making that commitment wholeheartedly is how we proclaim through action “Lord, you can count on me!”
I invite you to be fully present, fully committed parishioners within our Saint William Community
Each of us brings unique gifts to our parish community. It is through these gifts that we are able to bring flavor and light to those around us. But how do we put these gifts to use within the context of our parish? In its simplest form, parish registration allows us to connect you with the vast number of ministries at Saint William. It also allows us to keep you informed about what is happening at Saint William and identify opportunities for you and your family to get involved, serve in ministry and grow spiritually—and it also gives us the ability to contact you in case of an emergency.
Our parish community is ever-changing and dynamic in nature; registering at Saint William demonstrates a commitment to our parish and each other. Additionally, having an accurate count of parishioners and household members helps us to better assess our community’s needs, which then allows us to better plan and manage the various activities and services that are at the center of Saint William, including Masses, Sacraments, youth and adult faith formation programs and ministries.
Data Transfer is Happening Soon: Please verify your records by March 31, 2023
Soon all parishes in the diocese will be transitioning to a new parish database. It is especially important for Saint William to have accurate information for each of the registered households prior to this transition. In an effort to make this process as seamless as possible, we ask that you please verify your information and submit any updates to the parish office by March 31, 2023. If you have any questions or would like to verify your information by phone or email, please contact the parish office. We are here to serve you.
For these reasons, I invite you to register or ensure your membership information is current. Independently of whether you are new to our parish or have been with us for years, each of you is a blessing to our community and has become family to the rest of us. It is my joy to be among you as your pastor and as a parishioner of Saint William. I invite you to be active members of our Saint William community by taking that next step in saying, “Here I am, Lord. You can count on me!”
Ad Jesum per Mariam,
