What is the feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe and why do we celebrate it?

In honor of Our Lady’s Apparition to St. Juan Diego on December 12th, 1531, we commemorate Mary by celebrating with Mass and other events/prayers. This year, the Feast falls on a Thursday.
