It is with great joy and honor that I share exciting news for our community: St. William has been chosen to host the Installation Mass for Bishop Daniel E. Garcia on Thursday, September 18. This is a deeply meaningful and historic moment not only for our diocese, but especially for our parish. To be the place where our new shepherd is formally welcomed and blessed in his ministry is a true gift of grace.
This event places us at the heart of diocesan life, reminding us that we are not just a local parish, but part of the larger Body of Christ. To host the bishop’s installation is to participate in the apostolic tradition that links us to the Church through time and space. It is also a moment of prayerful unity as we welcome Bishop Garcia, offer him our support, and commit ourselves anew to the mission of Christ in our time.
Because of the importance and scale of this celebration, all parish ministry activities will pause from the afternoon of Tuesday, September 16 through Friday, September 19. This includes meetings, events, and other gatherings. We do this to prepare well and serve fully.
