Each year on Thanksgiving, Saint William Catholic Church hosts Annie’s Way, a Thanksgiving meal serving the City of Round Rock. This tradition originated from Annie Pavlicek, who, on Thanksgiving, would set aside three plates of food for individuals who were without family on the Holiday. Saint William, among other community leaders, have carried on Annie’s generosity and will continue to do so this year. Annie’s Way is for those who are in need, do not have family nearby or simply want to join in a large gathering on this special holiday—everyone is invited!
There are several ways to participate this year:

Unable to join us in the Parish Hall? Thanksgiving plates are available for pick up from 8:30 am - 10 am in the Pavilion located on the Saint William parish grounds.

Food donations:
Food donations of non-perishable items/canned goods, loaves of bread or pies can be dropped off on:
• Wednesday (Nov. 27) 8 am – 12 pm (noon), Parish Hall (Bldg. 3)
Covered dishes can be dropped off during one the following times:
• Thursday (Nov. 28) 8 am – 10 am, Parish Hall (Bldg. 3)
Covered dish ideas include: pies, sweet potato casserole, dressing/stuffing, cranberry sauce, and rolls/bread
Day of (Setup, Food Prep):
Whether you're interested in volunteering with a group or on your own, there are several ways to help at Annie's Way on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 24, 2022:
1. Setup / Morning Block: (7 am - 11 am): During this morning block, tasks may include: help with food prep deliveries, tables, chairs, decorations, and setting out paper products to create an inviting environment for guests.
2. Afternoon Block (11:30 am - 1 pm): Help will be needed with: cooking, cleaning, serving food, and facility organizing. Drivers are also needed to deliver to homebound, first responders, and special designations.
3. Post-Meal Prep (2 pm - 3 pm): There is a special need for volunteers to help with wrapping and storing food for late meal distribution.
4. Not available on Thanksgiving, but still would like to help? Consider a donation of ready-made food toward the event. Wishlist items include: turkey, desserts, or prepared side items. These items can be dropped off on Wednesday, November 27 from 8 am - 12 pm or on the same day of the event (8 am -10 am).

Please arrive at the Saint William (Parish Hall Building 3) 10-15 minutes before your designated time. Please note: Minors (18 years of age or younger) must be accompanied by their guardian or adult.
