The Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion should receive spiritual and practical in preparation to fulfill their role with knowledge and reverence.
EMHC assists in Mass in the distribution of Holy Communion under both kinds.
All Extraordinary ministers of Holy Communion should show the greatest reverence for the Most Holy Eucharist by their demeanor, attire, and show an example to the rest of the faithful by their own devotion and reverence toward this most Holy Sacrament of the altar. We want to portray ourselves as prepared and honored to serve. Clean, modest, dignified, and appropriate attire is kindly requested.
Plays a crucial role during the Mass, specifically in the *Liturgy of the Word*
The Lector must have the skill in public reading, knowledge of the principles of liturgy and understanding of the Scriptures.
A Lector should read with clarity and reverence and must have the desire to minister in this capacity.
Lector/reader dress appropriate with dignified clothing in a manner that expresses the dignity associated with the role of proclaiming the Word of God. We want to portray ourselves as prepared and honored to serve. Clean, modest, dignified, and appropriate attire is kindly requested.
Bodily demeanor (gesture, clothing) ought to convey the respect, solemnity, and joy of the moment when Christ becomes our guest. “Catechism of the Catholic Church 1387b”
Lectors will receive spiritual and practical training to fulfill the role of the Lector.
The Sacristan plays a vital role within the parish, although their work is not always immediately apparent. Their primary responsibility revolves around the *sacristy*, a secure room adjacent to the altar where sacred items are stored for the Holy Mass.
Care and Organization: The Sacristan diligently arranges liturgical books, and other necessary items for Mass.
Preparing for Mass: The Sacristan ensures that the priest has all required items for the altar (missal, lectionary, and all he needs to prepare all necessary items for the Holy Mass)
Post-Mass Cleanup: After Mass, to bring everything back to its place for the next scheduled sacristan.
Attire: Bodily demeanor (gesture, clothing) ought to convey the respect, solemnity, and joy of the moment when Christ becomes our guest. “Catechism of the Catholic Church 1387b
