It is our most important role, as ministers of music, to support the singing and worship of the congregation.
St. William Children’s Choir ministry teaches parish youth to worship and grow in their Catholic faith through their active participation in singing during Mass. Learning to share their gifts and talents and understanding their role in worship helps choristers to engage fully through service and participation, and obtain a deeper relationship with Christ.
Rehearsals focus on fostering superior musicianship, healthy vocal technique, and strong Catholic spirituality while preparing to lead worship.
Children’s Choir prepares sacred music from the parish’s repertoire, including traditional hymnody, lighter styles of song, and service music, as well as selections from the Roman Catholic Church’s rich treasury of choral music.
