Free Movie Matinee

Submitted by Azucena Overman on Wed, 07/04/2007 - 10:04pm.

Saturday, July 21st at 2 PM, we will be showing the movie, The Passion of Bernadette, starring Sydney Penny and directed by internationally known French filmmaker Jean Delannoy. The Passion of Bernadette tells the story of St. Bernadette Soubirous, “the little saint of Lourdes,” after she entered the convent at Nevers, France, where she lived until her death at 35. It is the beautiful and touching story of the last years of St. Bernadette’s life—the years following the first appearance of the Blessed Mother to her on February 11, 1858, the years that shaped her sainthood. Ignatius books and DVDs will be available for purchase and proceeds will be used to get more movies for screening at Saint William.
